Review and Swatches: ARITAUM Style Pop Water Tint in Cherry Rose

Merry Christmas everyone! As we began the countdown to last night's Christmas Eve's NOCHE BUENA,I found some time to make a review of a good lip tint from the Korean brand Aritaum.i have started interest in lip tints since they became popular because I am not a big fan of lipstick. At this point of my womanly life, I am still favoring lip balms and lip tints because it is just difficult to find the perfect lipstick shade and formulation and tints and balms are more lightweight in terms of formula. Also who can resist that simpler and younger vibe of lip tints that will not make you look overly made-up unlike lipstick. With tints you can feel less product is resting on your lips, just saying.Truth be told, tints are favored by the younger ones but who says that at twenty-ish, you can't use lip tints.Well, I do prefer tints, after all..Anyway sooner or later I hope I will find a good lipstick.Moving on,after trying this product for some time I can already share my opinion.By the way, I purchased the product from Sae Sil Parknshop, a legitimate shop/reseller of Korean beauty products based in Korea. If you would like to purchase from her shop just click on the link to her Facebook page  saesil.parknshop

This is the lip tint from Aritaum,a Korean brand under Amore Pacific. It comes in Cherry rose and Mango red variants. What I am reviewing at this point is in Cherry Rose and swatches of the tint on the tissue.

ARITAUM STYLE POP WATER TINT (9ML)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:According to the Aritaum this product offers a light and soft water coating effect of water-fitting formula.Non-sticky,high moisturizing,long-lasting effect.

INGREDIENTS:This contains Argan oil to moisturize and protect the lips from dryness. It also has orange and rose ingredients to make the formulation long-lasting.

PRICE:I got this for Php 192 @20% sale off.Fair price for a lip tint.

SWATCHES anyone? Please note that I have naturally colored lips and the product was worn alone sans lip concealer.

Personally, the product is non-drying,not sticky, lightweight and pigmented enough to show on my lips.I have tried another lip tint some time ago from another brand which I failed to review.However,quality-wise this current tint is better since it does not dry my lips nor induce chapping unlike that lip tint(I dunno if they changed the formulation already).Color pay-off was also nice, living up to the cherry rose hue as advertised with a MATTE finish that does not emphasize flaky portions of the lips.In terms of lasting power,it is good enough considering I need to reapply only after 4 hours and this color remained on my lips.2-3 Coats will give you natural-looking cherry lips.

You can also make lip gradations using this product ala Korean-a bt I personally prefer this as an overall lip color especially when I have little time to prep my face for the day's business. The container is slim and can easily fit in your girly purse.Just remember to close the cap tightly because if you don't, things can be really-really messy if the tint spills and the color needs to be washed off.The doe foot applicator is effective in applying the product but sometimes, it just picks up too much of the product so be careful about that.Luckily you can remove the over-drawn tint using a tissue, just do it quickly before the tint dries.

it is a fairly affordable and good lip tint.So if you like this color and prefer a non-drying tint formula, then you should go for this product.Just remember to scrub your lips when  needed to make lip products adhere properly and to apply lip balm if you feel like your lips feel dry especially in this cold season.I did not need a lip balm for this lip tint but if needed I highly recommend Human Nature's lip balms or  Aritaum lip tint balms, both of which I will review later on.

Thanks for reading.Enjoy the holidays;-)

My Love Affair with Oils-Human Nature's Rosehip Oil and Miracle Sunflower Beauty Oil

Hey, it has been a long time since I have written a blog entry about good products for the skin.To make up for the long hiatus, I would like to make some short, yet informative posts about good skincare products that I have tried so far.As you can see, I am not a makeup-focused kind of person.Instead, I think that skincare should be a top priority in a woman's list over makeup. It's not only about using good makeup products, but also taking care of our skin using good yet affordable and skin-friendly products.I would even emphasize the word organic if I have to, because with how things are nowadays, it is safer to use organic and earth-friendly beauty potions.I'd rather take the longer route to targeting my skin issues with natural and organic yet effective products than using harmful concoctions that show quick efficacy but are laden with harmful chemicals. It is so against the core principles of beauty that I believe in.

If you want to be beautiful, it all starts with having a healthy body. And a healthy body will make possible beautiful skin.I guess everything else follows.Good skin and complexion with all its glory.

But that's is just ideal. My skin is not perfect and I need additional assistance from good products that can improve my skin further. And one of them is Human Heart Nature's Rose hip oil.I have used this for a long time already and if I am not mistaken I am in my 4th bottle.I came to know about this product from former Victoria Secrets Angel Miranda Kerr.I don't think she is my favorite, but I chanced upon an article where she talked about her favorite products. And judging by how beautiful her skin is at her age, i just can't stop googling about her skincare routine.Mind you, even Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, discovered the good benefits of this oil to her skin. And for someone like me who are looking for ways to minimize my eye bags and help lighten my under eye area as well as my pimple scars and freckles, I just made that resolve to get one!asap! So that is where my fixation to find Rosehip oil started.

Judging by how expensive this miraculous oil is, I was so glad that this became available locally through Human Nature.(So happy I was then a Human Nature Dealer)And with a price that I will not be so hurt to pay for.

So what is Rosehip Oil?It is actually the oil extracted from wild rose bushes growing in the cold regions of Chilean Andes. The benefits of the oil have been known to indigenous groups for ages and they have used it to address many skin concerns.According to Dailymail.UK,"Not only is it rich in vitamin C and high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, known to heal scar tissue, it’s also a great source of retinoic acid, which studies show reduces the appearance of wrinkles and brightens skin.

I'm so glad that Human Nature started selling this oil. After searching for places where I can purchase this(my search has taken me to online shopping but with the ridiculous shipping and tax fees, I was surely discouraged.) Taking it from Human Nature, I just know that they provide Pure and unadulterated Rosehip oil.You can be assured because they carry the Natural Seal which certifies their compliance with the Natural Products Association Standard for Personal Care Products.According to their website:

This is their 100% Natural Rosehip Oil available in a 15 ml bottle.
Pure Rosehip Oil
Every woman wears a beautiful story on her body - of courage, constancy, and conquest in the face of adversity.
Step into the light with a new chapter of healing with pure, premium grade Rosehip Oil. Cold-pressed from top-quality rosehip fruit hand-picked and ripened to perfection, each potent drop is rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids that help improve skin elasticity, assist in skin regeneration, and reduce uneven pigmentation.
Since many of you have been asking in the forums about what can help lighten their pimple marks and freckles, improve the appearance of their under eye areas, diminish wrinkles-this is my answer. At 695php (and it even better if you are a Human Nature dealer because you can avail of their dealer-exclusive discounts),A few drops before bedtime is enough to cover the face.Use it as the last step after your beauty routine. As for me, I have seen the results just after a few days of use.To sum up its effect, I looked blooming as complimented by my workmates.Little did they know, it's this oil.Try it and experience the difference. The little, precious bottle lasted me more than a month. If you want to try, visit the Human Nature store nearest you or contact a dealer. You may also try ordering via their website  and they will ship your orders to you.
Another organic favorite of mine from Human Nature is their Sunflower Beauty oil.You might be wondering why I just love oils that I can't stop talking about them. It's because oils help the skin.As much as we want to avoid oils when our skin is already oily, some kind of oils will actually improve our skin. What kind of facial oils you might ask?Go for Coconut oil,Rosehip oil,Jojoba Oil,Rice bran oil and Sunflower oil, to name a few that can address our skin issues. These oils are easily absorbed by the skin and easily available. You can even ditch some of your products because oils can already double for cleansing, toning and moisturizing. To learn more about the goodness of facial oils, there are so many interesting sources that you can access via the world wide web. This literature particularly is informative. If you want to know more, you can continue reading about it.Just click the link.
"Do you know why beauty trendsetters likeGwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone are using natural face oils? If you're looking to have healthier, younger-looking skin without exposure to chemicals, toxins or harsh treatments, consider adding face oils to your skin care routine. Yes, it turns out the skin care ingredient we've feared most of our lives can actually transform our skin. Just as oils rich in essential fatty acids are required in our daily diet to keep our bodies healthy, the right skin care oils are also necessary to keep your skin healthy..."
So, without further ado, these are the reasons why I love Sunflower oil. It's all summed up by Human Nature:
100% Natural | Hypoallergenic | Bestseller
Experience 23 miracles of the sunflower gold.
A breakthrough bestseller and cult classic since its unveiling, Sunflower Beauty Oil’s premium formulation is lush with moisturizing and nourishing vitamins A, D & E, earning its place as a well-known and well-loved top-to-toe beauty solution.
How does Sunflower Beauty Oil show its miracle magic? Let us count the ways …
1. Helps lighten dark undereye circles
2. Helps lighten dark spots & pimple marks
3. Undereye moisturizer
4. Helps prevent & lighten the appearance of stretch marks
5. Helps soften and lighten underarms
6. Softens feet soles, knees & elbows
7. Removes stubborn makeup
8. Overall body moisturizer
9. Helps lighten fine lines around the eyes
10. Helps soften cuticles and dry skin
11. Makes skin glow and helps keep it youthful
12. Helps relax tired, puffy eyes
13. Helps relieve itch & redness caused by insect bites
14. Nourishes & conditions eyelashes
15. Helps lighten dark lips
16. Adds shine to dull hair
17. Helps ease dry & itchy scalp
18. Helps improve skin condition after sunburn
19. Smoothens dry, rough skin from shaving
20. Helps calm skin & ease rashes
21. Helps relieve symptoms of skin infections
22. Helps hydrate dry patches on face
23. Helps lighten lesions and scars
Now you can carry with you your entire beauty routine in one kikay kit-friendly bottle.
Seriously, I'm part of that cult since that time, I started using this oil. It's easily absorbed, easily spread and non-greasy.It's a great cleansing oil prior to washing your face with your favorite cleanser.I also place some to my under eye area.Keep my brows in place too!So versatile aproduct! Interesting what a beauty oil can do, right?Personally, I alternate this oil with my Rosehip oil. This is more affordable at 149.75 for a 50 ml bottle or 274.75 for 100 ml bottle and I don't feel guilty spreading this all over my body to minimize scars and stretch marks. For students and ladies and gents that would like to enjoy the goodness of sunflower oil to the skin, this is a good and affordable one to try. With continuous use, you can really see the difference.Let us just be realistic with our expectations because different products work with different people who have different skin conditions. You can incorporate it in your facial skincare routine or use it on your body to lighten those skin boo-boos.Just a gentle reminder folks, that you should always try a patch test to determine if you are okay with using new products even organic ones.In addition, if trying out oils, make sure you get he pure and unadulterated cosmetic grade oils.
Nature has rewarded us with so many natural products that can help with our skincare needs.I am not saying that we turn away from commercial beauty products, but we may as well not be blind with their negative effects on our bodies.Chemicals are chemicals and no matter how effective they are, the balanced condition of our body is more important. It is just pointless to be beautiful when you cannot even maintain a healthy body. That's it.Thank you for reading.Until next time.

Mamonde Rose Water Toner 250 ml- My New found Love

Do you like to use toners like me?Well then, allow me to recommend a very nice product that I have recently bought which I find very nice and effective. My new found love- The Mamonde Rose Water Toner!

According to the product description, this contains 90.89% Damask Rose Water thus gentle and moisturizing for daily use as an everyday toner. It is a clear liquid toner that smell faintly of roses.

Oooh,I really love this toner because as claimed it is really hydrating and gentle on my oily-combination face. And I adore the subtle smell of roses, err, damask roses because it is not irritating to the nose and truly makes the toner phase of my beauty regimen enjoyable.I can't help but take a whiff whenever I put some on my cotton ball and the smell is just divine!

As I am not familiar with this Damask rose thingy (and what makes this different from all other roses I knew and saw), I looked over internet sources and found this picture of this rose plant:
rose de rescht
(Image from http://www.rose-gardening-made-easy.com/rose-de-rescht.html)

I have read that Damask roses, the good source of rose essential oils are raised in Bulgaria, a world-famous rose-growing district. This has been used as skin toner due to its excellent calming and moisturizing effect.

Not much of a discovery there really because I think I have encountered this plant in somebody else's garden before and even plucked some for my granny ages ago.Anyways,it's the idea that these roses make the main ingredient of this product made the search worth while.:)

So the packaging is in a clear and sturdy 250 ml pinkish bottle with a white cap. When I say sturdy,it really is because I dropped this twice already, but it never breaks. It is sealed shut with a neatly placed foil to prevent spillage when brand new like other Korean toners if you are able to try one. Externally,it is not packaged in a box but sealed with a pink tape on top of the bottle.By the way this is also available in a 500 ml bottle:-)

Right now, my bottle is at its 80% full after three weeks of continuous use since it arrived from Korea. So this will last me a long time.As to the authenticity, I am pretty sure that this is  a genuine item from Mamonde because I purchased it from Saesil ParknShop who is a seller of authentic Korean beauty items from Korea. She resells Korean Beauty Cosmetics on an order basis from various brands direct from Korea, with the most recent sale promotions every now and then. She also provides generous freebies with your purchases. If interested, you may want to visit her shop on Facebook through this link

Lucky for me that with my love for  this toner, I got this at a Buy 1 + 1 promotion at Php 840.It's a bit much of an amount you might say but it's worth every peso for me since at 420 a 250 ml bottle, it's a very good skincare product and at last I found another good toner after consuming my Innisfree Rose Clear Skin which was also a good but I believe was already discontinued.Aside from using this as a toner,I've read somewhere that this can also be used as a face mist.:)

So cheers everyone! This is my first product from Mamonde and I am looking forward to trying out some other items from their company till next time I used up what's in my arsenal:)Thanks for reading!Till next time!

Dear My Wish Lips-Talk - Etude House OR203

A lipstick is a woman's friend.I have always known this, seeing my mother and other female friends apply this on their lips for a touch of color. For some reasons, it was just recently when I have started to embrace my more feminine side-meaning the habit of using beauty products.I have started with sunscreen, lip balms and bb cream and just recently, my new found interest for lipsticks. So after scouring the internet for clues and ideas, I settled with a Korean lipstick. So here is an Etude House Dear My Wish Lips TalkAfter some months of using this product from Etude House, I can freely share to you my independent review and experience.:)

This lippie range is available in ten beautiful colors.Taking it from the Etude House website:

What it is
Soft and smooth texture lipstick with 10 amazing vivid color which leaves lips moisturized and glowing.

What it does
- Cushiony texture: Its creamy, lightweight texture envelops lips smoothly and comfortably like melting on lips.
- Rich color with onlly one swipe: Clear and rich colors expressed powerfully on lips with a lustrous finish.
- Hydrated glowing Lips: It contains Vegetable Squalane to keep lips moisturized with glowing rich glossy colors.

How to apply
- Draw the lip line clearly by a lip brush.
- Swipe on lips, make sure the color glides onto lips evenly

Caution
1. Use only as directed.
2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
3. Cease use if problems arise.

I requested a colleague to purchase this for me for free when she went to Korea a few months ago.:)I believe that prices are way better there than in the Philippines and not to mention you can be sure that you buy original products.( I am not discounting the fact that we have a lot of legitimate sellers online cause I also buy korean Cosmetic products from reputable online sellers of korean Cosmetics)Anyway, moving on to the review.:)

I got this in the shade OR203 and I must say that this is a beautiful, orange-ish/peach-ish/pomelo-ish shade (sorry I am bad at describing colours, just see for yourself):)Luckily still kept this slightly crumpled box just so you can see the packaging when purchased:)Such girly designs, noh?

Just look at how cute the box and the lipstick container when it comes to design.Correct me if I'm wrong but I the packaging of this Dear My Wish Lips Talk range reminds me of the container of the Dear My Blooming Lips line, although there are noticeable differences.

I like cute stuff, but not a big fan of pink themes.:)But still thumbs up because the lipstick has a very nice color payoff:)Just take a look at the lippie bullet when the cap is removed.

Pretty color,right?
So, here are some lip swatches for you guys:

My bare lips(excuse me for the hideous pimple scar)

Swatched once-just look how pigmented it is.:)

The Dear My Wish Lips-Talk - Etude House OR203 has a really good color payoff. The color when worn is a bit the eye-catching sort for me, like it is screaming "Hey,you!Look at my lips!

Moisturizing?Yep,it deserves 4/5 for me because my lips felt a little dry upon application. But I guess this is something that a good 'ol lip balm cannot address.

Color Payoff? For me it deserves a 5/5 since it is such a beautiful, feminine colour that can brighten your face even if you have very minimal makeup.

Staying Power? It lasted 3-5 hours for me because I usually remove my makeup whenever I finish my part-time job.So I should say that it deserves  a 3.5/5 because it is quite long-lasting and has minimal fade out.

So there you have it, a very nice lippie product from Etude House. If I got the budget again, I will try the other color variants.

3 Pc Holiday Makeup Brushes from SUESH

This is going to be my first ever review on this blog.Allow me to share my independent thoughts about a set of brushes from the brand SUESH which is their 3pc Holiday Brush Set.Note:This is not a sponsored review.

This parcel arrived today, 2/11/2015 after I paid for this set plus the shipping fee yesterday,2/10/2015.It's a quick transaction and delivery for me considering the fact that I reside in CAR.Great Job SUESH and Xend!

Inside this parcel is my properly packed order (in bubble wrap):a pouch and the the three brushes from SUESH.

Really cute and handy!Just the right size.

You can be sure that SUESH individually wraps the brushes as they really are unused and brand new. Here are the cute babies of this set.(Sadly, I already removed the plastic covering from two of the brushes in this photo,anyways:()

Moving on, the 3pc Holiday Makeup Brush Set has 3 essential pieces that busy gals like me would prefer.Borrowing the description from the SUESH website:

"The most basic brush set for the face for beginners. Includes a Powder brush:for over-all powder application on face; Angled blush brush: apply blush like a pro with the angled feature. Foundation brush: this dome shaped and flat shaped brush can blend foundation flawlessly. Hair: Korean Taklon Hair"

Now let us have a look at each of the brushes in the set.

 THE POWDER BRUSH

The brush is not as dense as I have expected, but boy, this brush is really soft and efficient in picking up the powder pigment .Applying the powder all over your face with this brush is very easy and not to mention, the bristles do not prick my face.I must say, I have a possible candidate to replace my old buddy, ELF Powder Brush for powder setting.

THE ANGLED BRUSH

In my opinion, this brush is a little bit more dense than the powder brush.I think it's perfect for applying the blush this way because you can control the amount of powder. If you are someone like me who prefers a light application of color to my cheeks, you will appreciate this brush.I just wonder though,if it can also be used to contour?Hmm Not a fan of contouring but that is something that I still have to test later on.

THE FOUNDATION BRUSH

This is my favorite brush of the three because it is the cutest of them all:) When I first touched the bristles of this brush, I can't help myself but stroke it several times afterwards. There is just something about it that I cannot fully describe.

You know, that feeling is like the combination of smooth and soft.I have not tested it's performance with foundation, only with my BB Cream, and I must say it can even out the cream all over the face.I have always utilized my fingertips to apply creams evenly, but the use of the brush provided almost the same quality of application for me.

I really like this set not only because they are affordable at PHP 250 (exclusive of the P90 shipping fee),but also because they are compact and handy. The wooden handle and the black metal ferule of each brush screams quality and will make you think twice that I ordered and bought this set for just 250 Php.
May I also mention that the brushes have minimal shedding(just a hair or two) when I first washed them.So I was no less happier about my purchase.

This makeup brush set is satisfactory for a person who is on the go like myself.I am a minimalist in the sense that I am satisfied to use just BB Cream/CC Cream and setting powder for my everyday look so I would prefer to have these tiny friends around, who will not consume so much space in my bag.

Just look at how petite and cute they are beside my blue Pilot G-tec!Really, I cannot ask for more.

To sum it up, this 3pc Holiday makeup brush set is a must-have if you are a makeup newbie or a busy body who would like to bring around her beauty tools for quick touch ups.Due to this experience, I agree with those who say that SUESH brings quality makeup brushes minus the hefty price.

So if you want to make your own purchase, you may visit any of the SUESH show areas in Metro Manila (and sadly I do have very rare opportunities to pay them a visit myself due to the distance)
or you can do it my way and purchase online here although you just have to shoulder the courier's fee.May I just mention that Sheryl Kim of SUESH promptly responds to my email containing my payment details. Thanks Ma'am!

So thank you for reading.I hope you liked my review.Until next time!
